Amazing game, but I noticed an annoying bug, when speed running.
When placing a bomb rapidly after exploding one, the new bomb will sometimes glitch a bit and won't show up till like 0.5 seconds after placement. It also won't make the player jump, it'll just flash and and appear behind player after a while.
This can make speed running difficult, as it's not concistent every time. I've lost a few runs on good pace to this bug.
Still a 5/5 game, very cool.
Do you have plans on adding more levels? I would love to see this part of the game as level 1, then have more to complete
This is actually intended behavior. The player cannot place a bomb without their body. After detonating a bomb, there is a short cooldown (a few dozen frames) before the body returns. So during that time, placing another bomb will appear delayed, and it won’t cause a jump either.
If the player could place a bomb immediately after exploding, it would allow for unintended flying, so this system was put in place to prevent that.
That said, if we come up with a better solution, we may consider changing it in the future.
We're currently working on a full paid version for Steam, so stay tuned!
Such a fun game! I really liked the way some levels made you think about bomb placement and different mechanics. I was sad when it ended and require a part two.
Gotta love these! Every new one is another simple yet unique game mechanic, stretched and pushed beyond its limits! I'm still amazed at how many puzzles you can get with just a character and two bombs, and this is only the demo!
The visuals, movement, everything about this game feels very pleasant to play, and you feel great when you figure out the trick to each room. Cannot wait for the full game!

oh ok i understand. the issue it that its super inconsistent, and only happens every once in a while. thanks for the reply, excited for future games
